There are three main purposes of this project. First, we construct a database and the computer system of reporting firms who filed for tax incentives. Meanwhile, the economic benefits of tax benefits according to “the Strategy of Industrial Upgrading and Promotion” are appraised. Second, we study the possible industry development trend in the future (after the year of 2009) so that the government can depict the future and then adjust related policies. Finally, the incentive policies (for example, financial policies, subsidies, and technical assistance) of our main trade opponents (such as Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Mainland China) are investigated to give a reference for future policy adjustments.
