As the global political and economic landscape continues to shift, key issues such as supply chain restructuring, evolving trade policies, and rising geopolitical tensions are drawing increasing attention. These factors are becoming central to shaping global economic development and industrial configurations. The ongoing transformation of the international economic and trade environment is closely linked to Taiwan’s economic performance and investment strategies. In this complex and volatile global context, effectively navigating challenges and seizing emerging opportunities requires a deep and continuously updated understanding of international economic and trade dynamics.
The WTO & RTA Center of the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) is hosting this seminar to help industries and the public understand global economic trends and trade dynamics. This event features three keynote speeches, each addressing a critical theme. The first will analyze the global economic landscape and Taiwan’s economic development to explore the nation’s economic dynamics and export opportunities amid challenges such as supply chain reconfiguration and inflation. The second will address how Taiwan can respond to geopolitical risks and great-power competition, focusing on formulating prudent strategies to strengthen its position within the global political and economic order. Finally, the third speech will examine how AI and digital technologies are reshaping global trade models, and analyze how Taiwan can capitalize on innovative business opportunities and adjust its economic and trade strategies accordingly.
In summary, the seminar aims to foster a meaningful exchange, enabling industries and the general public to stay informed about the latest developments in international economic and trade affairs, proactively formulate response strategies, and enhance their capacity to meet future challenges.
