01	Associate Research Fellow of this Institution, Dr. Chun Lee, was appointed Representative to the European Union and Belgium.
05	Co-hosted the seminar on “Carbon Pricing Mechanisms in the U.S. and EU and Response Strategies for Other Countries” with Resources for the Future (RFF). Associate Research Fellow of this Institution, Dr. Huei-Hsin Yen, was appointed Chairperson of the Taiwan-U.S. Affairs Commission and Deputy Chief Negotiator of the Office of Trade Negotiations, Executive Yuan. Co-hosted the CIER-KDI 2024 Joint Seminar with the Korea Development Institute (KDI). Co-hosted “The Indo-Pacific Issue: Soft Cooperative Security and Resilient Free Trade” seminar with the Pune International Centre (PIC) in India.
08	Dr. Hsien-Ming Lien, a professor of public finance at National Chengchi University, was appointed president.
10	Co-hosted the international seminar on “Promoting Supply Chain Resilience: Strategies and Perspectives for CPTPP” with the Office of Trade Negotiations, Executive Yuan, and the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
11	Co-hosted the seminar on the “Trade, Industry, and Technology Policy Trends Following the U.S. Presidential Election” with the Taiwan Research Center at National Chengchi University. Hosted Professor Bruce A. McCarl of Texas A&M University, recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, for a lecture on the topic of “Agricultural Decision-Making in the Context of Climate Change.” Co-hosted the Memorial Lecture for Professor Ta-Chung Liu and the Memorial Conference for Professor Sho-Chieh Tsiang titled “Policy Formulation (or Transitions) Amid Regime Change” with the Institute of Economics at Academia Sinica, the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, and the Taiwan Economic Association.
12	Co-hosted the “Geopolitics and U.S. New Governance: Perspectives from Taiwan and the U.S.” seminar with the Brookings Institution.
