This Center primarily focuses on researching the development of Taiwan’s small, medium, and startup enterprises. Since 1997, it has compiled the White Paper on SMEs, providing statistical data and trend analyses to support government policy formulation and guidance measures. This publication improves domestic and international awareness of Taiwan’s SMEs, acting as a resource for policy advocacy and information sharing.
The three core principles guiding the Center’s research: (1) monitor the operational dynamics of SMEs and startups while establishing statistical indicators to support decision-making and policy analysis; (2) provide professional consultation and policy recommendations on key issues, such as digital transformation, SME development, and social impact; and (3) facilitate dialogues between policymakers and businesses, integrating industry needs, and coordinate resources to ensure effective policy implementation.
As we advance, the Center will continue to support the development of Taiwan’s SMEs and startups through research, analysis, and policy recommendations. The goal is to enable enterprises to thrive in global competition while enhancing Taiwan’s economic competitiveness and innovation momentum.
