Established in 2013, this Center is dedicated to the research and development of the green economy, with a focus on topics such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy, circular economy, resource recycling, green trade, and sustainable finance.
Our research focuses on financial strategies for managing environmental costs, conducting cost-benefit analyses, evaluating the impacts of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) on economic activities, and promoting the industrialization of resource recycling and circular economy technologies.
The Center prioritizes energy transition and green energy development by analyzing the economic and commercial risks posed by climate change and promoting the adoption of green finance. Beyond academic research and policy analysis, the Center engages stakeholders through board-level training programs, industry workshops, media communications, a series of forums, strategic discussions, and the Taiwan Circular Economy Awards to enhance corporate and societal understanding and participation in sustainable development.
Through research and practical collaboration, the Center facilitates dialogue between industry, government, and academia; provide science-based policy recommendations to help businesses and governments implement sustainable development actions; and collectively achieve the goals of balancing environmental and economic progress.
