8/5 China’s Economic Development Strategy in the Trump 2.0 Era

The global political and economic landscape in 2025 is undergoing dramatic shifts. With Donald Trump’s return to the White House, U.S.-China relations have entered a more competitive, even confrontational “Trump 2.0 era.” The U.S. government has not only imposed tougher trade and technology sanctions on China but also leveraged high tariffs and industrial reshoring policies to reshape global supply chains, directly impacting the Chinese economy. Meanwhile, China faces multiple challenges, including weak domestic demand, a sluggish real estate market, and mounting export pressures, significantly slowing its economic growth momentum.

To address shifts in U.S.-China relations, the Chinese government has actively expanded domestic demand in recent years, promoting technological innovation and green transformation, while striving to upgrade advanced manufacturing through a new whole-nation system to alleviate external pressures. However, global supply chain restructuring, capital outflows, and the rise of emerging markets such as ASEAN pose new challenges to China’s economic growth and international strategy.

This forum, themed “China’s Economic Development Strategy in the Trump 2.0 Era”, will bring together experts from industry, government, and academia to comprehensively analyze the latest dynamics in U.S.-China relations, China’s economic policy priorities, and its strategies to counter U.S.-China rivalry. It will also examine the implications for Taiwan’s economy and the government’s response strategies, providing groundbreaking policy analysis and practical recommendations to help Taiwanese businesses capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.

In a volatile global economy marked by rising geopolitical risks, this forum aligns with international trends, enabling attendees to stay informed about China’s latest economic developments, understand U.S.-China competition, and navigate global industrial strategies. We sincerely invite leading professionals from all fields to join this forum as we collaboratively examine the shifting dynamics and future challenges of U.S.-China-Taiwan relations. Availability is limited, so please register early.
