The Regional Development Study Center

Research focus and objectives

Research on Regional Economic Integration, Geopolitical Conflict Impacts, and International Trade and Investment Trends.

Established amid the rapid rise of global regional economic integration, this Center is dedicated to supporting Taiwan’s pivotal role in regional economic integration and navigating the evolving landscape of international trade. Over the years, the Center has become a crucial think tank for Taiwan’s involvement in international economic and regional cooperation, acting as a reliable partner for the government in tackling global political and economic challenges.
In the context of today’s dynamic global political and economic environment, the Center’s research scope has expanded to encompass several critical areas, including the impact of geopolitical conflicts on trade, Taiwan’s role and strategies in emerging international alliances, strategic approaches to managing changes in cross-strait trade relations, trends in global supply chain restructuring, and the adaptive strategies of major countries in response to U.S. policy shifts. We will continue to conduct in-depth analyses of these issues and provide precise policy recommendations.
Looking ahead, the Center will enhance collaboration and foster exchanges with domestic and international think tanks, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders. By integrating global expertise, we can effectively connect academic research with practical implementation. We believe that through cooperation and shared wisdom, we can address challenges, capitalize on stable development opportunities in the rapidly changing international trade landscape, and pave the way for a future filled with hope and possibilities.
