The First Research Division
IntroductionThe First Research Division focuses on research on issues related to economic development in mainland China. Projects may be either internal, commissioned or designated. Research projects probe deep into the issues, prior to the carrying out of a comprehensive analysis, and arrive at practical and feasible policy recommendations that are useful for government, academia and industry.
Specific areas of research include the following: China's farming, industries, finance, monetary issues, commodity prices, commerce, fiscal administration, investment environment, foreign investment, external trade, bi-coastal indirect trading, bi-coastal export competition, Taiwanese investments in mainland China, energy industries and relevant policies, technological development, cross-Strait technological exchanges, the labor market, business management, regional economics, the Hong Kong economy, and the overall economy, etc.
This division promotes exchanges with local and foreign research institutions to enable its research achievements to become more recognized internationally. The division provides instant information and carries out studies on Chinese industries which serve as valuable reference for Taiwanese investors in China.
